I'm one to be very patriotic. I am known to stand proudly and put my hand over my heart when the flag passes by or the National Anthem is played, being grateful for my FREEDOM. As this Independence Day approaches, I am still grateful for my many blessings and my many freedoms, but I've been contemplating. Is America really independent? It seems with oil on the rise and the American dollar's value decreasing, we are VERY dependant. It's really sad to see "The American Dream" slipping away for our future generations. I'm in no way trying to be depressing, I just feel like, we, as Americans should take action somehow. I'm all for drilling and producing our own oil to establish Independence, but am still uneasy at how this may affect our environment. There may be no answer and this is America's fate. Many have pushed to take God out of our country and maybe God is listening and saying, "Okay, I'll leave." One thing I KNOW for sure is that if I keep God in my life, I will ALWAYS be okay. This Independence Day I will take action. As I celebrate this holiday, I'll be paying my Tribute to God. I'll be thanking him for the MANY blessings he's given to America, our Country, our HOME.
